Some More Updates

Alright, so here is what has been going on for me for the past week:
My horse, Blaire, arrived at 10:30 at night on Sunday and I've spent everyday with her since then.
She's adorable, sweet as can be, and extremely calm.
Anyways, since she's been here, I've realized how much can be said about her, and I've only had her for about a week.
Not even.. xP

But, back to my writing.
No, I'm not exactly there yet..
As soon as I finish Breaking Dawn [loving it!] though, I'll be right back into my writing novels.
The actual writing part, however, I may have to keep postponed..
Ugh.
I wish I just had some more free time on my hands.
And school hasn't even started back up yet...

Updates

Okay, so, the writing has been put on a temporary halt again.
Because the past two days I was in New Jersey, adopting a beautiful three year old Saddlebred mare.
Her name [for now, until I change it] is Petunia, but I'm thinking something along the lines of Blaire, because she is from Blairestown.
Anyways, I fell in love the minute I saw her, honestly, and now I'm waiting for her to make the long journey home.
I can't wait to get to work on her.

However, back to my writing.
Although I haven't been reading my novel for the past few days [pardon my busy schedule!], I was able to write a short story last weekend called My Girl for a contest on GirlsHorseClub.
I'm extremely pumped to be entered in something, and am even more ecstatic because the judges are incredible! [Two happen to be my author idles.]
Anyways, hopefully my next report will not only bring good news on my soon-to-be-home horse, but also on my writing's slow [but steady!] progress. x]

Making Slight Progress..

Alright, so I stayed true to my word and was up until one a.m. last night highlighting and reading out of my YA Novel.
I'll continue with this process tonight, and who knows, may even finish the book?
[Highly unlikely considering I'm racing to finish Eclipse because I'm so engrossed... By maybe!]

-Sigh-. I would love to just jam all this information from K.L. Going into my brain and memorize the necessary basics to writing so that I could just dive into my own novel already.
But I want to do this right, even though I know that it will take a very, very long time to even make a dent.

Ugh, I want to sigh again. xP
Alright, I might as well get going on the highlighting and reading process..
Or attempt to finish Eclipse.

Getting Back on the Wagon

Alright.
Tomorrow I am officially going to pick my writing back up.
Tonight I plan on continuing to read Writing & Selling the YA Novel by K.L. Going and am going to highlight the essential messages the book portrays about writing.
I'm getting excited to dive back in again and hope I can manage my time better to allow more writing.
It's truly a difficult task, though; any moment I don't have invested in my two main activities [horses and volleyball] I'm basically spending with my friends.
And they can be very time consuming and exhausting, let me tell you. xP

So, besides getting back into my YA Novel tonight, I'm also going to organize my brand new planner.
For some reason I'm excited about that, too. x]
I've also spent a bit of time finally exploring different blogs here at Blogger...
I've began following a few and am excited to see what goes on at them. [:

Alright, I better get going if I plan on doing everything that I've posted about today.
Plan on reporting back about how I have gotten back to writing soon!
*Crosses fingers that all goes as planned*

Confession...

Alright, so to be honest, I haven't been working on my writing for the past few days. But I have a good reason! My love of horses has to be put somewhere, and at the moment, it is with a gorgeous three year old rescue Saddlebred named Petunia. I want so badly to adopt her and have been working frantically to convince my parents I can take her on. However, she is located in New Jersey, which is very far from my own location. So, we'll see how things go. This is something I truly want more than anything, so here's hoping that Petunia can come home with me. [:

A Work in Progress...

So, I've begun my writing ventures with a different approach this time around. I want to get this novel right this time and really go somewhere with it. So I've started reading Writing & Selling the YA Novel by K.L. Going. So far, I've been completely fascinated by everything Going has had to say about writing a novel for teens. The advice and direction she has written through this book shows me a whole new perspective on writing and proves to me there is a structured way to get my novel done. So, instead of diving right into my novel (as I have in the past) I'm going to take my time, read this book thoroughly, and then slowly move onto the outline to my novel.

Fingers crossed that I can do it right this time around!

Hola [:

Back again [:
And having a desire to write. I've been searching for young writing competitions all day and working on the rough, rough, rough outline to my novel. I'm so excited to get the boring, unspecific outline completed and get to my favorite part of actually writing the novel.
Well, not much else to share but that today... I guess I'll go continue my search for contests. The more experience I can get, the better!

[[It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by.  How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment?  For the moment passes, it is forgotten; the mood is gone; life itself is gone.  That is where the writer scores over his fellows:  he catches the changes of his mind on the hop.  ~Vita Sackville-West]]
